Network Icon to Show Data Transfer
Hi all,
I m running Ubuntu 8.04 and was wondering if there is some sort of icon I can place in the task bar that would light up to show me that data is moving in and out. This would be something like Windows has.
I have a little network icon in the task bar now but it does not change appearance when data is moving.
I would like this just so I can know if there are problems with my internet connection as I have found in Windows that you can be "connected" but that nothing is happening.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I will install it when I get home. My only question is since I am running Ubuntu and not Kubuntu, will I have any problems running this as Ubuntu is more Gnome than KDE?
Thanks again Tek.

Sorry Doc, you *will* need to install the KDE control centre to use this app.

Thanks TEK.
I will download and install the KDE Control Centre and then the app.
I will post back how it went.

Installed KDE and am playing around with it for now so that I can get used to it.
I have noticed so far that when Firefox is running the window will sometimes disappear for a few seconds and then reappear. Not quite sure why this is so but if I can not get it to stop I will have to uninstall KDE.
