question
I know there is software to recover deleted files. If someone moves a file to a cdr does that remove the file completely from the computer if not how can you recover it?

Usually, files moved to a cdr are not actually moved, they are just copied to the software used to burn the cd. If it's missing you want to use recovery software to find it still on your computer. Some are free, some pay for. I use PCInspector and Restoration listed in links below:

Thanks for the info and will try those programs. This has to to with the business I work at. Someone was released here and deleted some important files when the left. I tryed software called restore files 2 and it found around 38000 deleted files but not the ones we are looking for that is why I asked the question about the move to operation...

I hope you have pulled that hdd and slaved it into another pc.
Once things get over written, unless you pay good money out, they maybe lost for good.
