    Drop down menu's

Using latest Opera browser and am having random problems with the two drop down menu's, Search and Quick Links.
Sometimes they work and sometimes I get no response.
Not having problems at any other site and not having the same problem with FF or IE7.
Problem started a few days ago.
Anyone with the latest version of Opera there to give it a go?

No worries. Thank you. Cannot understand though why it works fine everywhere else. I will try a fresh install later and see how it goes.

Check the batteries in your mouse, if you use a wireless one. I have no idea why, and it may be all in my head - but when my batteries are low, IE will work right up to the bitter end; Opera features (especially anything under the Tools tab) come and go.

Batteries are good lg. I did a fresh install of Opera and so far it seems ok. Strange that the problem never showed up at other sites though.

Doesn't necessarily mean a problem with your installation of Opera, could be something else installed which is interfering.

    Strange things happen.
I remember, when I used to use Netscape, anytime when I was typing something, and I hit left CTRL key by accident, some keys would start typing something else, then they were designed for, like by hitting "X" key, I was getting "E" letter, etc.
It was happening only with LEFT CTRL key, and only in Netscape.
The only solution, which worked, was to restart computer.
After trying all possible solution, I got so frustrated, that I physically removed left CTRL key from my keyboard

    lol, nice solution .
Problem still occurs occasionally. Will just have to persevere with it until I find the culprit.

Maybe next Opera update will fix it? They come pretty often.

I'm not going to trace the JavaScript to confirm this, but I've got the feeling over time that those drop-down menus only spring to life once the page is completely loaded -- if you click on them while it's loading, nothing happens. I wonder if sometimes you're just getting stuck with a page that's mostly loaded (so it looks complete on screen) but stalled before getting to the JavaScript initialisation at the very end for some reason.

Yeah, I've thought that myself, but using Opera, there is a pop-up toolbar that shows whilst the page is loading. Once the page has loaded, the toolbar drops back out of sight.
I have attempted in the past to select those drop down menu's whilst the page is loading and found that what you are saying is correct.
So far tonight, I haven't had the problem .

Just a quick follow up. Since my last post the issue appears to have resolved itself. I have not updated Opera, changed any settings etc.
Fingers crossed it will continue .
