Toshiba monitor doesn't come on

Bought wife a toshiba satilitte laptop model #L45-7419. The monitor quit working. It is like it has trouble coming out of sleep mode or something but external monitor works. Before I send it in because is still under warrenty I thought I would give my freinds at Virtual a chance. I am not that familiar with laptops (always been a desktop person) but maybe the wife hit a button that shut it off or something. Open for suggestions and talked to tech support and as usual I know more than they do,by the way already took battery out and reinstalled.

Just take it to a Toshiba pasp not just any asp. You will get better service than sending it to Toshiba center. A pasp is a preferred service center.
