Fan stops on cpu load
Hi everyone!!
I have an ACER EXTENSA 4102 laptop, based on an INTEL CENTRINO cpu, and I have the following problem:
The fan stops each time I start a program, once the program is closed the fan starts. It's the same if I plug in an device, the stops immediately and stars when I remove it.
The fans stops on cpu load, it should be the opposite.
There is no option for the fan in the BIOS.
Has anyone ever heard of something like this?
I forgot to mention that when it happened for the first time I replaced the old fan with a new one that it's exactly the same, I also try to disconnect the yellow wire that control the speed of the fan, no way the fan won't function correctly...

Sounds to me like the cpu got damaged before you changed fans.
I think it is time to get someone to check it out in a shop.

Thanks for your answer.
The CPU seems to work flawlessly, maybe it's the chipset ?? I wonder if there is a program that can test a CPU...
The fan stops working (or run slower) when the CPU is running, just like there is a lack of power.
I'll try to find something on the power management of a laptop...

I have seen in desktops where when it called for increase of speed it would make noise and then completely stop But replacing the fan did make it work correctly . This would be a sleeved bearing fan where it actually moved on shaft with a increase in speed, Can you see that fan isn't contacting a foreign object as it tries to speed up?

The fan is brand new and there is nothing obstructing it.
