    avg and avira ????

    hi.cant i run 2 anti virus .like avg and avira at the same time on my computer .i just did read that you cant not use 2 anti virus .is that true .????
    vista 32 bits.
    2007 nzxt guardian.
    asus m4a88t-m le.
    amd ahtlon11x2 270 3.4 ghz.
    g.skill ripjaws 4 gb oc at 6-6-6-15.
    hd wd blue 320 aakx 6.0 gb.
    apevia atx 500 watts .
    22 acer monitor .

    It is usually a recipe for disaster and I have never heard anyone recommending 2 AV's on a single PC.

    It's possible but I NEVER recommend it because it takes some low level tinkering to keep things playing nice with each other. If you want a "second opinion", you're better off running your AVG and using a backup, manual only, scanner like ClamWin. http://www.clamwin.com/
