scanreg /restore dates??

I was having trouble with my computer so was going to do a scanreg /restore but the only options avaiable were:

03/01/01 Not started
03/11/00
03/10/00
03/09/00
03/08/00

The last 4 were fine but why are they more than a year ol? This isn't normal is it?
Any ideas welcome..Thanks

It because :
1. you don't reboot your system or don't shut it down .
2.your registry scan is unchecked in MSCONFIG .

Is Doh! the correct response. I had it unchecked in MSCONFIG but missed it the first time thru. It was worring me since we shut it down everyday..thanks Homer
