    Firefox 2.0.0.14 Update

Since the latest (2.0.0.14) update, Firefox is not fully loading several sites. Most pictures show a blank box and parts of some (not all) sites are completely gone. After reinstalling 2.0.0.12 the problem went away.
CNN.com seemed to be the worst with the update.
Found some information on Google, but not solutions. Any thoughts?

Are you talking about the two missing Advertisements on the right of the page? (This is in Firefox 2.0.0.14)

Those two are also missing in Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 (here on this PC).

No, most of the page is gone! (not with the .12 or with IE and Opera)

Must be a combination of Firefox 2.0.0.14 and something else on your computer then.

(I also just tried CNN.com on my laptop in Firefox 2.0.0.14 and got the same normal-looking page (as seen above)).

Are you using any Firefox add-ins?

If available, does the same thing happen with another computer on your same network?

I reinstalled .14 FF and it seems to work OK. I think cleaning out the cache might have done the trick, even though .12 worked without doing anything.
    Thanks for all your suggestions.

Have similar problem with that version of Firefox, although cleaning out cache does not work for me. What does is to push the "Retry" button. It seems that loading pages takes longer and they time-out. Can the time-out time be increased, and if so, how?.
    Thank's for your help.

Start>All Programs>Mozilla Firefox>Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). See, if pages will load better.

    Thank's Broni.

Trying the Safe Mode version and it seems pages load much faster, particularly from links, and links within links where the most frequent problems occurred. Short test time , but will continue and report later after longer tsts.

Does running in Safe Mode version disable firewall and AV protection?.

Does running in Safe Mode version disable firewall and AV protection?
No. It just starts Firefox in its pristine state, no skins, no add-ons.
It looks like one of your add-ons is causing a problem.
Start Firefox in normal mode, go Tools>Add-ons. Disable all of them, restart Firefox, and see if problem is gone.
If it's, keep enabling add-ons, one-by-one, restarting Firefox every time, until you find a culprit.

Removed all the recently installed add-ons and the frequency of missed loadings dropped substantially, but not altogether.

The problem is only about three weeks old, and the remaining add-ons have been with me for months, and I am not willing to do without them. I will live with the improvement I got, and hope the next update of Firefox cures the problem, which I am now sure started when I installed the last update.

Thank you for your help Broni.
