    Super Antispyware

I recently downloaded and installed superantispyware ... I have it on one computer that runs XP and I put it on another computer that is running Vista ... I checked off everything that was suggested here, and for some reason on the computer running VISTA it seems like the same files are being scanned over and over ... there are no problems with on the comp running XP... I started a scan on the computer with VISTA and after close to an hour it was still on Documents and Settings ... I watched it for about 20 minutes and thats when I noticed the same folders and files were repeatedly being scanned, so I uninstalled superantispyware ... I was just reading on their form something about DDA and unchecking it ... I am positive that it was unchecked, and as mentioned I checked off the things I was told to check off ... when I was installing it, I think I may have unchecked Vista integration, I honestly can't remember .... I would like to reinstall it back on the Vista computer .... can anyone here help me out and possibly know why this repeated file scanning was happening ... thank you so much

I haven't followed all the buzz about SAS Pro and Vista (I run XP) but I believe that the pre-release version of SAS Pro being tested is supposed to resolve all known Vista issues (and I think there were a couple/some.) This release is past beta and I assume will be out within a week or two. You might want to wait for it and then try again. (The new version will be 4.1.x. Currently, it's at 4.0.1154.)

thanks Han .. it wasn't the pro version that I downloaded, it was the free version .... it scans great on XP, but not on my Vista comp .... I did download malwarebytes on the Vista comp and that ran great .... any other ideas as to why I'm having problems with it on Vista

It looks like you're not the only one. SAS seems to hang on some Vista systems.
I'm nor aware of any solution, yet.
Why it works fine on some computer, and why not on others, I have no clue.

For manual scans, the free version and the Pro are the same. So once 4.1.x comes out, the bugs should (hopefully) be corrected.

I don't think so, because with the very same settings, it works for some people, and doesn't for others. I'd say, you're in minority, but anyway...
