date changing virus or trojan

Is there such a thing out there in the form of virus or trojan that moves your computer date ahead by a year? Yesterday my wife said our computer was showing 2002. She changed it back and ran the latest Norton Av but found nothing. I am not too sure how it does with trojans in case there is one. Any ideas? Thanks

I don't know of a trojan, but I know of an American that is always changing her dates when using the time/date window as a calendar *points finger at self*

Are you sure it wasn't a user error? If you restart your computer and it has the correct date, then maybe it was just a fluke? If it happens everytime, then I would consider a virus. Of course, if the time doesn't keep up then that is another issue entirely (the CMOS battery infact).

I am pretty sure it wasn't human error, she is very careful about doing things (...think three times before pressing enter type of careful) so I don't think she would have changed it. She had gone to update Norton and it said the updates had expired and she had just bought another year so it kind of made her wonder what had happened. oh well things are working fine now I believe.
