Recording off the web.
Hi all,
Trying to record a kickin' jam off Deadmeadow.com.
Vista has a sound recorder in accessories, but it won't work without an input device.
All I'm trying to do is record the .wav file that starts up automatically when you visit the website.
Any freeware out there I can adapt for the purpose of grabbing content that comes up on websites?
Any input appreciated, thanks

You might try looking through the Temporary Internet Files first. Chances are, the .wav file is there somewhere.

I have tried viewing source, etc and i cant find the WAV file...
Must be embedded in the flash file.......
I was able to record it with sound recorder... (Make sure your "RECORDING" input is set to "RECORD MIXER" (In your VOLUME CONTROL PANEL (Then Sound recorder hears everything coming from your sound card))
Good luck!

Sounds like you found it
Yup. My bad, it was indeed a flash file
I right clicked the speaker icon and unchecked the non-existent microphone in favor of the internal sound card, and this allowed me to use the "sound recorder".
I'm glad I posted though, because "Audacity" is a nice bit o' mixing software that is a vast improvement over Vista's default sound recorder.
Sounds like you found that jam though; nice huh? Kinda like a Hendrix-Zeppelin-Floyd fusion that actually works
Anyways...starting to go off topic, thanks again for the links and input, all.
