    DIY CPU, need help.........

Ever since I first started building computers I thought I’d like to make a better CPU that Intel. I had the feeling that there’s actually not much to it, so I sat down in my workshop and pondered the situation. For months I tried different methods then Eureka, I found by elimination that a beer bottle top works brilliantly. Cooling was a bit of a problem at first but I’ve now succeeded by using a stock Intel HSF.

So far I’ve found that a Guinness top is about the fastest that I’ve tried, it’s probably equal to 1800 mhz. I feel that I really need to go dual core so I’m experimenting with sticking two together with superglue.

My reason for letting you all know this at this early stage is to get help with all the testing.

So if anyone has any time on their hands and is willing to help let me know, we could easily get rich quick.

Haven't had any time to drink them, it's a hell of a job soldering all those little pins to the beer top.

I think you'll find that the really critical thing is to get the superparamagnetic diapolasticating capatristors all aligned properly. It should be all downhill after that

Also, if you are going for exotic cooling methods, remember to always work naked when handling liquid nitrogen (that last bit is actually real advice )

SuperSparks, do you fancy going in to partnership, with your electrical background we will soon sort out those superparamagnetic diapolasticating capatristors wotsits.

I'll help you empty those Guinness bottles. You're going to need a lot of caps when you go into mass production.
The true test of character is not how much we
know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do
