    Symantec Ghost command line switch

    PC contains 1 Disk, 2 NTFS partitions, made an image called image.gho on second partition, but can't seem to workout the command line switch for automated restore, here it is;

    GHOST.EXE -clone,mode=pload,src=D:\image.gho:1,dst=1:1,rb
    GHOST.EXE -clone,mode=pload,src=1:2\image.gho:1,dst=1:1,rb

    both not working. Ghost dosen't see a drive letter.

    Just guessing, but maybe you need the -FFI

    Found these Switches: Alphabetical list of switches

    Possibly something in the links at the bottom will help.

    I converted the second partition on DISK1 to FAT32...here are my switches which still don't work;

    ghost -clone,mode=pload,src=D:\image.gho,dst=1:1 -sure
    ghost -clone,mode=pload,src=D:\image.gho:2,dst=1:1 -sure

    It has me beat, all I can think of is I would like to Browse a eMachine restore cd as I have used them and they were made using Ghost for a while.

    Sorry!

    I found an old thread I made years ago;

    Ghost switch not working

    SO, I tried this switch;

    ghost -FNI -clone,mode=pload,src=d:\image.gho:1,dst=1:1 -sure -rb
    ghost -FNI -clone,mode=pload,src=c:\image.gho:1,dst=1:1 -sure -rb

    ghost -FNI -clone,mode=pload,src=d:\image.gho:2,dst=1:1 -sure -rb
    ghost -FNI -clone,mode=pload,src=c:\image.gho:2,dst=1:1 -sure -rb

    none worked! I'm going to convert the NTFS to FAT32, that way it will work. Here is the error code I'm getting anyway

    Date : Sat Mar 29 00:43:30 2008
    Error Number: (10014)
    Message: Cannot open C:\IMAGE.GHO
    Version: 2003.780 (Sep 27 2002, Build=780)
    Command line arguments: -FNI -clone,mode=pload,src=c:\image.gho:2,dst=1:1 -sure -rb
    Active Switches :
    AutoName
    Sure
    Reboot
