Hi
I had a problem with my HP nx 7400, to overcome the unsolved issue, I used the HP backup and recovery software provided with the lap top, and I choose the option to restore my operating system (XP Pro) keeping my files (MY documents , music, photos…etc.
The operation went smooth and I got everything back to normal, the losses were updates, installed programs..etc and all these are secondary since I have the required CD’s of my programs and Updates are obtained from the respective web sites.
Now I have a leftover from the operation, it is called MY Backup…something and it is taking over 5.05 GB from my hard drive, I tried every possible trick to delete the file and regain my hard drive space but all failed.
Delete, delete from safe mode, delete on the next boot (I Used software from this website http://www.gibinsoft.net/gipoutils/ unfortunately, nothing worked the file is so stubborn it wont go what else can I do??
The funny thing when I open the file it have only 2 (TWO) adobe files one active x 2,900kb and the other only 400kb, even when I use the option to unhide file and folders, nothing appear accept the above two files
Attached a screen shot to my file manager showing the said file.

Thank you, your software did not work I mentioned that in my post that I did use it without success.
dunedin
your unlocker managed to move the file but could not delete it, even after I reboot, but it managed to free most of the space, now the 5GB was reduced to 4 MB, same with file assassin no much deference.
I have gained my 5 GB back thanks to you; I can live with undeleted 4 Mb. I will hide it and forget about it.
Thank you all for the great help, great salute to Virtual DR. and the wonderful people behind it.
