Is that the complete error message?

Open up Outlook and run "Detect and Repair" from the Help menu and see if that helps.

I found quite a few instances of that problem popping up doing a search but no definitive answers. One suggestion was to disable MSmessenger service (if you don't use it)

    info here..

Others link it to Outlook, perhaps the pst file... try compacting it if it's very large (2 gigs is considered very large and a problem starting point)

You could try repairing outlook... add/remove programs/MSoffice> change> repair.

    Talking Hiya!

I had the same WMS Idle problem... (( AND IT WAS PRETTY ANNOYING!! )) but it was after I installed Nero 7 Essentials, which came with the DVD burner that I purchased and installed on my pc. The reason for it is because the NMBgmonitor (a Nero component ) runs at startup and performs unneeded idle processing as Nero scans for pictures and media content. Therefore removing it will not have a negative impact on your pc.

As I read carefully in another forum, there are several ways to fix the "WMS Idle Not Responding" error message. Be sure to perform the tips which ONLY apply to your pc.

If you have NERO (Verions: 7, 7 Essentials or 8)

    (Open Nero Scout Options window)
Click Start--> Programs --> Nero --> Tools --> Nero Scout.

    (Clear Integration Options)
On the left hand column, click Indexing --> Folders
Then at the bottom click Clear All
    Then click Apply

    (Disable Nero Scout)
At the top left hand corner of the window...
Uncheck the box where it says Enable Nero Scout.
    Then click Apply
    Then click OK

Another way - (an improper way, but do it if the above fails & you have NERO)
    Go to MSCONFIG
    Remove the NMBgMonitor from Startup

If you have Microsoft Office Communicator 2005

download and install this windows hotfix:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

here is the info for that hotfix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921113#appliesto

If you have Norton AntiVirus & MS Office

    try these tips:
    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...=&osv_lvl=&seg

I hope this helps... Good Luck! to all who have encountered this and let me know how it works out.

(( & thanks to the different people who originally posted these helpful tips which I have compiled into one HELPFUL post ))
