    Question mark

    A friend has a Dell Computer with XP.
    There is a desktop shortcut displayed with a red circle and a white question mark inside. The shortcut is labelled "USB Flash Drive"

    Is this shortcut OK to use when a USB flash drive is inserted into the USB port? Or, does the flash drive or USB port have a configuration problem?

    Right click the Icon and select properties.

    See what it says, probably just for a particular USB device. And switching brands it will probably not work. So insert the correct device and see what happens.
