I did the Kodak suggestions when I had the EasyShare S510.. I have over 1000 or so digital pics I have taken thru the years.. I went thru them on saved discs, and picking photos at random checking info thru Irfanview they all are either jpeg or progressive jpeg...... why they vary from one to the other is a mystery now..... all were taken by same camera......

At a guess it might be something to do with the resolution they were shot at.

I'm at my wits end with this thing... Have a notion just to return it. Its a shame you have to deal with this kind of nonsense. If the general public has no idea what their in for when they buy this sort of thing, its a joke.I personally think its a problem with all the different ways things were developed, or created thru time.. to many choices, options, and bright ideas...........!

I don't know what other brands are like, but i bought a Samsung digital photo frame at christmas and it has been fine, internal memory, and takes a range of cards, and has easy to use buttons on the side, i didn't look at Kodak's as they seemed to be more expensive in certain places. I'd thoroughly recommend a Samsung if you do look at replacing this one.

I can't find the model number, but here is a link to the site i bought it from in the UK: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...o%2Bframes.htm

The only solution that comes to mind is to email customer support and see if they have information on a resolution.

Thats another crazy issue... I was on hold for 30 minutes then was disconnected.... twice..... then redialed 3rd time with a constant busy signal.. never answered email to support........been 6 days. We develop tons of technology, and toys with no customer service with zero knowledge... If you really think about it awhile ............. Its very sad..........
