Have a IE7 error
My wife has been having a IE7 error when she closes IE 7 (Not in the order she opened it in).
The error is,
The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b.
Then a runtime error,
Runtime error 217 at 0267fd29
Any ideas on this can be fixed?
Thanks for any and all help!
Rod

RodneyM--I Googled the error message and find quite a long list of references.

Hope this helps.

RodneyM--Sorry to give you such a task, but as you can see, the causes can be many--often associated with conflict from an antivirus or antispyware program.
I ask the following only if you want to try a different route.
Not in the order she opened it in
Do you mean the problem does not occur if she closes instances of IE7 in the same order she opened them?
What version of Windows is your wife running?
Did your wife get IE7 installed on this PC when she bought it? Or is this an upgrade from IE6? If the latter, she can uninstall IE7 from Control Panel|Add/Remove (look under Windows Internet Explorer 7). She then can reinstall IE7 perhaps following the instructions here
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html
(A slightly different version of IE7 was issued after this article was written so she may not see exactly what is mentioned at each step, but the differences are minor.)
