These are the exact settings for the windows since the merger with AT&T:
Incoming mail server: pop.att.yahoo.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.att.yahoo.com
User name: (your E-mail)@sbcglobal.net
Password: (your password)
"Require logon using secure password authentication (SPA)" Do NOT check.
Next tab:
"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". DO put a check in the box. Also, tick "Use same settings as my incoming mail server."
Advanced tab:
Server port numbers: (These have to be exact, DO NOT use default as they will not work!) Enter in windows -
Incoming server (POP3): 995
"This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" DO check the box.
Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
"Use the following type of encrypted connection": SSL
Let me know if this gets your mail working. The directions linked in the post above are for the service before the merger with AT&T and many things have changed.
