    quick little question

    just need a quick answer,

    i just got a new cpu, can i put it in without thermal paste? theres paste on my old heatsink/fan...
    SPECS:
    Motherboard - ASUS A8N5X ATX
    Memory - Crucial Ballistix Tracer
    PSU - Antec TRUEPOWERII 550w.
    Processor - AMD Athlon 64 3700+
    HDD - Seagate 250 Gig. 7200.8.
    Video Card - XFX 7900GT (Extreme Edition... Yum)

    Absolutely not. Thoroughly clean the CPU and heatsink and use fresh thermal paste.
