    I surf the Kapersky forums because, like I said: for me anyway, getting this set up correctly if you're no tech genius (which I am not) is at best difficult.

    Example on the fubared 'puter I mentioned: I can get updates no problem with the Kaspersky Firewall on and Windows off, but can't connect to the net.
    Now how the the he** could that happen?

    My experience tells me that starting an argument with manufacturers of software puts yours truly in a very difficult position because they can explain their way technologically so far over my head.
    Click here for a classic example.

    Furthermore, poor Don Pelotas (moderator) over there is so far overloaded (it seems) he's immediately going to get testy when/if I were to challenge these types of issues.

    That's why I put it on the table here.
    There are people here I have Faith in.
    Too many to name from visiting here regularly for 8 years.

    Not trying to start any angry disputes, nor useless chicken before the egg debates: just gathering facts from the experience of others that post here regularly.
