Thanks for your reply. I have to say that I don't always watch, in fact seldom watch, what items are being installed. Guess I tend to trust AVG to keep me straight. Strange though, the Control Center has settled down since I have run every "test" I have installed on this particular machine. After running all of the tests, I turned the PC off for perhaps an hour and have just turned it back on. Seems my trust in AVG has paid off; along with my regular use of the 3 malware apps. I have. I can say that because I just discovered that the AV part of this App. has not been updated for a year---December 06. After updating and scanning, there were only 19 insignificant items found.
For sure, I will be running that bugger more often in the days to come. May have to spend some cash and upgrade so I will have that feature done automatically
