Installing Kodak Easyshare to my D: drive

    Hi,

Since I don't have a lot of room on my C drive I would like to install Kodak Easyshare on my D drive. When installing the software there were two choices. I tried custom but I could not select the D drive. Any ideas?
    I have XP home edition.

    Thanks

If the installation package won't let you select the path, you're pretty much out of luck...

Might consider cloning your C drive to a larger hard drive to avoid this current issue.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

It sounds as if you've never used EasyShare - if you had, you'd likely not be asking. My wife hated it because it virtually took over her computer. It insinuated itself into being the default application for all video/photo work and slowed things down dramatically. We wound up getting rid of it; Windows Picture & Fax Viewer in XP does everything she needs without the excessive intrusion. My daughter also had it; also got rid of it.

It's true. This is my first digital camera. The Kodak camera has this charger camera dock that is suppose to charge the camera and transfer photos to the computer. So the question is can I use a USB cord to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer?

That's one way. If your computer has a card reader, you can take the flash memory out of the camera and put it in the computer directly - the computer reads it as another drive when you do that.

Card readers are insanely inexpensive, so if you don't have one you might want to get one. Can get them internal or external. Check your card format; xD capability is still kinda hard to find, Sabrent's 52-in-1 readers handle it well.

    Office Depot did handle it.

Fact is, I carry one in each camera case.
