Software to lock-up CD Access
I am trying to find a software to lock up directories in a CD for security or authoring purposes.
Example: password-locked directory.
Say, on the CD is one root directory inside which a number of sub-directories.
The computer can read the CD and can open up the root directory, but cannot open the root directories without knowing and keying in the correct password.
The purpose is that even though someone got my CD, and got his computer to read it, he cannot go further to read anything in it.
Any ideas ?
Appreciate suggestions and/or software to use.

Secret Record and Crypt CD come to mind.Whilst they wont do exactly what your looking for they do place security features on burnt CDs which may be worth looking at i.e Secret record has password access and a user setable life span.CryptCD does what it says on the tin and encrypts the data.Once finished with the temp files are deleted from the system.

In a similar case, I zipped & password protected the files in WinZip. JL

I used lock cd soft, it locks computer access quickly and efficiently at the time you are absent.
