    a zoom lens is a wonderful thing

    some shots from last nights Rangers game at Madison Square Garden. All are zoomed but one, to give you an idea just how far away our seats were.

    the only kind, as far as I'm concerned. Digital zooms are absolutely useless unless you plan to display a photo no larger than a postage stamp.

    I only use it in the playback mode, to check out what I got.
    Then I know whether I need to take another shot or not. Anyway I find it helpful then and only then

    Oh I use it for that too. But as far as taking shots , no way.
