Slow Shut Down
We have a couple problems with our computers and hope for some suggestions.
The desktop computer takes a long time to finally get through the process of shutting down. It used to shut down pretty fast and now it is almost like it is hanging or taking a long time to go thru the shutdown process. Any ideas on how to speed it up?
On the laptop at shut down I get "program is not responding" everytime I try to shut it down. I have to try several times before it will finaly shut down.
Have WIN XP on both and run through FIOS.
Thanks for any help.

I will try the fix for the desktop.
The only message I get when the laptop does not respond is "program not responding". I assume it means IE or WIN.
