[RESOLVED] Firefox Visited Links Colour

When I search for something in Google using Firefox, and click on the links listed they don't change colour as they do in IE. The colours shown in Options/Contents/Colours for Unvisited/Visited links are blue for Unvisited and red for Visited.
This is a nuisance issue but it makes it difficult to see which links you've been to. This is OK as long as you haven't got a long list to work thru.
Is there some other setting I need to change?

Nothing I can think of in regular Firefox, but there are some extensions (eg Stylish) which can override appearance. What extensions do you have installed in Tools | Add-ons?

Tools | Options... | Content tab | Colors... button. You can select your own colors for Unvisited Links and Visited Links as well as select or deselect Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above.

Thanks, Tuttle. I installed Stylish but still can't work out how to use it! To say it's cryptic is to put it mildly! I looked at some of the stuff on userstyles.org but am still none the wiser. I can't find any basic How to Use it stuff. It sounds as tho it could be quite useful, if only I can get my head around it! If someone could point me in the right direction it would be helpful.

Regarding Firefox Tools/Options/Contents/Colours (SpywareDr); I've had no success changing the colours or selecting/deselecting Allow pages to choose their own colours etc makes no difference. When I hover over the links at the bottom of your post they change to red while hovered over but then change back to blue. It's the same with Google search results. They change to red when clicked on but change back when you release the click.
I'm using IE View 1.3.3, IE Tab 1.3.3.20070528, Tab Mix Plus 0.3.6.

I wasn't suggesting Stylish as a solution, more a potential problem. It's a cool tool, but you need to get the basics right first.

Make sure you're not viewing Google through one of those IE extensions; if you are then the IE settings (in Control Panel | Internet Options) will control how the page appears, rather than the Firefox settings.

I'm having no success here I'm afraid. I tried Accessibar but changing the link colours and selecting the 'Use dashed underline for visited links makes no difference.
I also tried uninstalling all my add-ons without success, thinking there might be something over-riding the setting.
Does anyone know if there is a setting in "about:config" that might change this? I can't see anything but then I don't really know what to look for!
Could there be another setting in, say, Control Panel that might affect these settings?
Maybe I should just accept what I can't change! Very frustrating!

I seem to have cracked the problem.

It seems that if you set the "Remember visited pages for the last nn days" to zero you can't change the colours of the links. I usually set this to zero so it clears stuff that I never re-use anyway. When I set this to 1 day and deselected "Allow pages to choose their own colors...etc" I was able to choose my own colors. It changes the look of the page a little but it's easy to change back.

I still couldn't get Accessibar to change the colours, but I can live with that. It's not an add-on I really need.
