    cookies and history?

I know this is really a basic question, but I don't have occasion to do this very often so I have forgotten how to do it.

I know how to enable cookies and clear the browser cache in Netscape, but I can't seem to find where to do this in IE.

I tried searching for that in HELP, but I couldn't find those things listed.

I also went to control panel and couldn't find it there either.

Can someone help me with this?

    I feel real stupid.

    look under Tools>Internet Options>General Tab.
Cookies can be enabled/disabled under the Security tab>Internet>Custom tab.

There are a few ways in which you can clear these items.

    1. Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet Options. Once there, In the General section, click on "Delete Files" under Temporary Internet FIles.

    2. This is my method of choice. In your c:\ go to c:\windows\cookies and delete all the cookies found here. Then go to c:\windows\temporary internet files and delete all the cookies here (everything).

    3. Assuming that you are running Windows 98, you could also use their Disk Clean Up utility.

    That ought to do it.

    Good luck!

Thanks for showing me where to clear the browser cache. I wasn't looking for the way to clear cookies. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I did find out that I do have cookies enabled which is what I was trying to find out.
