buf: Thanks for the tip! I snagged it...
Seriously, it's a great program. Not as simple to do screen captures with as some but very versatile. The SnagIt editor (which is part of the program) is really worthwhile if you ever to work with your photos.

Thanks foxy. Those are good links and I had them already. Make use of them from time to time also.

Thanks, foxy.
It seems a bit tedious to find a particular program on http://www.freeware-guide.com/html/download.html or maybe I have missed how to do it other than to slog through each page.
Also, with any of these programs, Vista users should be aware the old versions may not work with Vista.

Thanks for the great tips buf & foxy.
Yeah: I snagged one myself.
Now, if only I could find a free version or similar of VisualRoute, I'd be one happy surfer.
I'm aware there is one built into Windows XP in command prompt, but it won't tell me what I need to know 1/2 the time.
Any takers?

SnagIt Upgrade to version 8.2: half price
Has anyone who did (or plans to do ) get an email from the registration mail address to upgrade to version 8.2 for $20 ?
IE: 1/2 price.
The question: is it worth it?
