    Mobile Phone strangeness

Recently my immediate family were all in my sons house for the day. Our mobile phones were all fully charged but 4 out of 5 lost there charge during that day. These are all fairly new phones that normally last a week on a charge. I know that if a mobile phone has trouble finding a signal it works harder but this seems ridiculous. Do you think it was an alien encounter

Perhaps the bluetooth fairy needed an energy boost and drained the batteries

If you stepped out of the house and saw this...

...then I'd be a bit worried.

I think I did see that with bluetooth fairies all over it, scary.

With a low signal a cell phone is continually trying to establish a connection with another tower. I hacked my Motorola V635 by turning on the Engineering menus to prevent such nasty behavior.

If the cell phone is continually transmitting it can. Depending on the brand of cell phone one of the other cellular company's gremlins may be responsible.

ua549 thanks for that. I liked the alien theory best though.

Leaving the bluetooth on will drain the battery pretty quick to.
