How to show dictation which is now changed, in Ms Word 2003
Cannot conduct a search for this, since I have no idea what it is called. Will try to describe it.
Using MS Word 2003.
A sentence or phrase is dictated and then changed. I want to show both the original dictation and the revised version.
Many, many months ago, I saw an example of this, wherein the first phrase was shown, with a red line through it, followed by the revised version.
Hopefully, this description makes sense.

Spyware Dr
This is close to what I want, but does not seem to be working.
For example, if the first dictation is: This is a fine car.
Person dictating then corrects that phrase to say: This is a terrible car.
I want to select the first phrase, highlight it to show that this was dictated, and then follow it with the second phrase.
My document will look like this: This is a fine car. This is a terrible car.
I want the first phrase to have a line through it, showing that it was dictated, but changed to the second phrase.

Strikethrough:
1. Select the text that you want to change.
2. On the Format menu, click Font, and then click the Font tab.
3. Select the Strikethrough or Double strikethrough check box.
4. Click OK.

Here's a shot of the original document:

I then double-clicked "TRK" (track changes) down in Word's Status Bar, positioned my cursor right before the "f" in the word "fine", typed in the word "terrible", hit the [Spacebar] once, then hit the [Delete] button four times (as if I were deleting the word "fine"). Here's a shot of the results:

Note that it was Word that: 1) added the "|" at the beginning of the line, 2) used the color red for the changes and 3) did the strikethrough on the word "fine".

To Liam, and others who responded, Liam's recommendation is just what I had been looking for. It was so simple and direct, I should have able to think of that, without bothering you folks early on a Sunday morning.
Thanks much.
