    Angry Email Error

    Hi,
I have Windows XP, Outlook Express , and RoadRunner Cable ISP.

When I check mail in my inbox I get this error message:
Message number 1 could not be retrieved. Account: 'pop-server.stx.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.stx.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Could not read message file', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD Sometimes other messages can't come through either.
As per RoadRunner Tech, I logged into Webmail and tried to delete message #1. I was unable to delete it . I get this message :System I/O error. Administrator check server log for details . Been referred all over Texas and still have the problem.
How can I get rid of this annoyance?

Unfortunately all I can suggest is you keep hassling RoadRunner. It's a problem with your mailbox on their server, not on your PC.
Safe computing is a habit, not a toolkit.

Thanks, Tuttle. I will contact them again when I have a lot of spare time. I had read somewhere that they purge all the email servers every 60 days. Maybe I will have to wait it out. Service here costs a lot so we should get more action from these folks . However, they have no competion in this town.
