Start menu>program columns
Does anyone know how to break the windows startmenu>programs panel into multiple columns. I know i have seen this done before and I can't remember how to do it. I have a lot of programs installed and it would be easier to have multiple panels, instead of having to scroll down one large column.

I think this is what you're looking for.
NOTE; be careful in the registry and always back up first.
To restore the Windows 95 like behavior:
1. Start the Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ explorer \ Advanced
3. Right-click an open area in the right pane and select
New > String Value
4. Name it StartMenuScrollPrograms
5. Double-click this entry and add the value false
6. Exit the registry editor
To restore Windows 98 behavior, simply rename the value of StartMenuScrollPrograms from false to true.

Or you can go here for those who want something automatic: from an earlier thread. http://www.langa.com/downloads.htm
You'll find a registry hack that will set a check box in the view folder of explorer that will let you toggle back and forth from Win98 to Win95 style.
