Email Attachment(photo)/bin file
We have a cell phone that takes pics but don't have a way to put them on the PC so we email(yahoo mail) them to my b/f's email addy. I should also add he uses IE. They were emailing/viewing/opening/saving fine until the other day. Now what happened is this.......sent more pics to email but when we went to save them they said they were a bin file with the name file.bin but also say file type was jpeg. We were able to see the pic in the Yahoo email but couldn't open or save as a jpeg. Now I told him to forward the emails to my yahoo mail and I used Firefox to open them and save them and it worked fine. The pics in my yahoo mail also said they were named file.bin and file type jpeg. Any idea what has changed to make IE not dl the pics as jpeg and why firefox can open/save them and not IE. Thanks

Does he get any other options to save the file as a .bmp or other file? Does he have his Yahoo set up to allow photos? Some email clients block photos because of security.
Tell him to empty his Temporary Internet Files folder and see if that helps.

It doesn't matter which name the pics are sent to they still won't save from IE as a jpeg. Only firefox will allow it. It just happened that when he forwarded the pics to me I was on 2nd PC that is set up for firefox to open yahoo mail from YIM. I then went on IE on main pc and and 2nd PC tried to open/save the pics and it wouldn't allow it. Not sure about other options, like I said he was able to get them last week and now with IE he can't. I will check for other options in IE and post back. Thanks
Ok checked to see what it is saved as and it says jpeg but when it it dled it says bin and no icon for pic.
