Advice on 802.11N

I have a range issue in a house that is not that large, When you get maybe 45 feet away from the router the signal goes to low and sometimes cuts out. I have tried range booster and a range booster adapter and it does not seem to help too much. I was thinking about trying wireless N router with an N adapter, is there any brand/model that is really good that anyone here has used and has had a good experience with?

When I had D-Link 802.11b, I needed an AP in each area of my house where I wanted to use a wireless connection. The signal would not penetrate more than one reinforced concrete wall. When I upgraded to 802.11g I purchased a Buffalo Air Station WHR-HP-G54 that I run in AP mode. The HP stands for high power. I only need 1 repeater for the entire house including the pool area.

Select the least congested channel in your area. You can use a tool such as NetStumbler to see what other wireless signals are in your area along with their strength and signal to noise ratio. It also helps to replace any 2.4GHz cordless telephones with ones that operate on a different frequency band such as 900MHz or 5.8GHz.
