DoD connections to MS Vista PCs

Very interesting thread where a users claims that he discovered DoD trying to connect to his vista pc.

Anyone running Vista here should check thier net connections!

There's nothing Vista-specific here, nothing to suggest that that traffic is anything other than a P2P client, trojaned machine probing for weaknesses etc, and nothing to suggest anything other than a machine on the Internet is receiving connection attempts.

Note the destination ports aren't shown, so we have no idea what that incoming traffic might be.

(That's a slightly less cynical version of my initial attempt: "Oh my god, a computer on the Internet is receiving connection attempts! " )

It's a shame that people can't be bothered to learn a bit about TCP/IP and the Internet before they start spouting all these scare stories
