[RESOLVED] Weird print size changes

Here's the deal: Running XP-Pro-SP2 & I.E.6. Use O.E. for my mail. Have a Canon iP3000 bubblejet printer.
Just installed a Samsung 19" widescreen LCD monitor.(my first LCD). Nothing done to basic settings on the monitor except dropped the brightness to 75%.
Playing with font sizes on different web sites, ie,hold Ctrl button down and move mouse wheel to change font size. Oh Yeah,I also have M$'es clear type set. Here at Virt.Dr. I set the font a couple sizes larger. OE said I had a message. It was an invoice from a Newegg order. Used the print icon at top of OE page to print it. This is where it gets weird(at least for me). The print was HUGE! Font size about 18 or 20. In the message window on the view menu>text size>set to 'smaller'(where I always have it). Looked everywhere in printer's options,nothing about font sizes. Went back to Virt.Dr. window. Used the Ctrl>mouse wheel and dropped the size down 2 notches(where it was originally). Back to the message and printed it again. Font back to normal size(almost). It was 2 pages. First page size ok,second page size large.But not as large as the first printing. Came back here and set size down one notch with Ctrl>mouse wheel. Went back and re-printed. Size was now fine on both pages!!!!???????
Anyone like to give me an idea on what the heck happened? All suggestions appreciated! (And no,,I haven't been drinkin' )

Well buf,,you got it bud! Hit the nail right on the head that article did! I've changed font size before in the way I described with no ill effects,but guess I was just lucky? Made the changes as prescribed and re-printed the invoice and all is well. Thank You very much for your help. These ol' Puters just keep pitchin' and we keep hittin' huh!?
