    USB Flash Drive Not Recognized

    Hello,

    My son, bless his soul, bought me one of those Kingston USB flash drives. On my XP computer it works fine but on my ME computer it worked once. And now when I plug it in, it doen't recognize it except for the tool bar where you have to click the icon to safely remove it. Any ideas?

    Thanks for responding.

    I don't have the package but on the device it reads:

    Kingston
    Data Traveler 1G
    DTI/1GB
    CN102006
    05360-311.AOQLF

    I tried running Everest but that didn't give me a model number.

    Does the device show up in My Computer when inserted?

    Does it show up in the device manager? If it does uninstall it there and let Windows re-install it. If it works it may work only once again but at least you'll have a workaround for the time being.

    If at first you don't succeed.... start working on the next version of Windows.
