What do you mean by change?
If you want a different address you'll need to contact SBC and or look on their web site. Most ISP let you create 5 or 6 different addresses.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

A relative of mine wants to change his email add completely. I told him that sbc which is now at&t once you register you cannot change your address. This was info from their website. I suggested him to create another address, but he is wanting to remove his existing add completely... Why I don't know..

He should be able to add another account via ATT's web site and simply quit using the original one.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

JBH1876--Is he reading the mail from AT&T's website, or using Outlook or Outlook Express to receive mail using POP3?
Unless there is something unusual about AT&T (like only allowing one email account forever), and he uses Outlook Express, click Tools|Accounts|highlight the account you want to delete|Properties. Make note of all the entries on each tab's screen.
Now go back to the Internet Accounts screen and create a new account. You should be able to use all the same info (including password) for each tab except the name on the account (on the Servers tab) should be different. On the General tab screen, check the box "Include this account...."|Apply|OK|Close.

When the New Account is created, go back to the Internet Accounts screen, highlight the old account and click Remove. Even if you cannot remove it (due to AT&T policy), you do not have to access it anymore using OE. On the General screen, uncheck the box "Include this account...."|Apply. Now OE will no longer display mail for this account, even if it builds up on the AT&T website.
Of course, the people with whom he communicates will need to be told the new email address.
