Can I activate Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 on 2 computers
I have two grandkids going off soon to college with laptops and Vista. Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 says that it can be activated on up to 3 computers. If I activate both at home, will they have problems later with support and follow-up if they are far away in college?

Hmmm... interesting. If both of your grandchildren reside with you now then it's no problem. If they reside elsewhere though, such as going off to college and temporarily residing there, can they legally continue to use the software?

But to take that to its logical conclusion, that would mean you could never take a laptop away from home, which would kind of defeat the object. I'd say that the kids being away at college doesn't mean that they don't normally reside at home.
As for support, I've never used any support from any software company, that's what VDr is for

Great response, SuperSparks. I will load software into both laptops and give both girls tutorials on signing up with Virtual Dr.

Agree wit Super Sparks on software, or other computer related advice, your best bet will always be VirtualDr. In some cases software specific sites, EverNote site comes to mind, are also very helpful.
EULAs are so full of BS and puffery I wonder how many of them would survive in their entirety a serious trip through the Federal Court system all the way to the Supreme Court. To me a device coupled use does not mean the software comp ny can tell me where I take the device and for how long.

Hi,
Are they going to the same school or different schools. Each school has a web site that has MS programs and keys that are legal for the students going to that school to download.
My son had the same deal when he was going to Washington State. He got the MS office suite and the key from the website of the school. Oh yes, you have to have a student ID and Password before you get to that site.
cheers,
mac
If computers are so smart, why don't they just fix themselfs??
