I was waiting for 2.0 to be more stable so might try it tomorrow.
Just installed 2 at home and it seems ok.

Firefox is stable on the several PCs I use it on.
Firefox 2.0 was released October 24, 2006

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3 and it crashed at least once a day when I first try to open this site and a few others. IMO Firefox has some sort of rendering bug.

Well I just installed Fx 2.0.0.3 over the top of 1.5.0.7 and it seems to have fixed the problem with link I posted in my first post.
Am I game to now try VDr with Flashblock and or Adblock disabled as that combo also used to cause me great grief.

Nix: I recommend you try Adblock Plus instead of Adblock. http://adblockplus.org/en/ It's being actively developed where Adblock has kinda languished.
As for Flashblock, it appears that it has issues with FF 2. So, it still may not work out for you. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433
As an alternate suggestion, you might look at NoScript (which can also block flash.) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

The FF plugin "NoScrip" will solve this problem. It seems Firefox doesn't handle Java scrip or other executablables very well on some sites, this being one of them.

And yet my repeated threads and posts about the subject of Fx crashing on VDr were pretty much always met with an "unable to reproduce" or "it's fine here" response other than the occasional poor fellow visitor who had the same issue.
In fact whilst I have seen new threads and posts alluding to similar issues I have not bothered posting because nothing ever happened.
Now that I post it about being on another site someone is able to post some useful information about scripts on this site not being handled well.

I run NoScript but on VDr, I have scripting enabled. And to date, I've never had any issues. So to offer specific help on FF, scripting and VDr, I can't help...
I do know that if scripting is disabled on VDr, the automated forum jumps will not function. You'll always need to click the "Go" button.

It might be a case where it will happen with some computers and not others. I know for me I have to use NoScrip with Firefox or I get crashes. Right now I'm using Opera to get away from FF crashes on VirtualDR. With me it seems to happen with either Windows or Linux OS's, so it's not related to the operating system. The VDR site is the only site that I have this problem on. It's most definitly related to scrips. I don't mind hitting the "GO" button to get away from crashes. Actually, I don't mind using Opera on this site to get away from the FF crash.
