website page counter question

I have a counter from Bravenet that I use on my site. I am in the middle of totally redoing my site and want to take the html code from the counter and put it on the new site. Now will it transfer my page view totals to the new site or will it reset to 0?

Most hit counters will carry the count over as long as you're using the same code and counter ID and such. But if it doesn't, most counters can be reset to any # you like....
