    and, we are having a parade in San Francisco China Town (just turned on my TV), celebrating the Lunar Year of the pig. No moon to be found

    That explains it...I was outside earlier this evening and I saw what I thought was a funny looking quarter Moon...at the upper right side...but I was too busy to realize that a quarter Moon didn't look that way. Then as I left work at 10.00, I looked at the Moon and it was full again...huh? I hadn't heard that there was gonna be a Lunar eclipse...cool.

    My son who knows about this stuff, tells me that a Blue Moon actually happens. It's all to do with light refraction through the Earths atmosphere.
