[RESOLVED] Weird issue with web browsers.

It seems like when I go to certain websites my web browser will close out on me.

I have checked for adware and spyware and don't have any, I know these sites work on aother computers but when I try to open them with IE or Firefox they will start to load then close out.

for instance, this website

It will not give me an error or anything, it will just close on me.

It's not just this site, there are others that do the same exact thing so I figure something must be damaged in my OS to where that site tries to use whatever is damaged and my whole browser closes.

What would be causing this on both browsers?

That page you linked to uses a Java applet so I'd be inclined to check you Java installation is not corrupted and / or the settings are correct.

Good call, I went to the java website and clicked the button to verify my java install and the web browser closed. I'm going to try to reinstall it.

I tried reinstalling it and that didn't fix it.

So I removed both update 6 and update 11 from add/remove programs and went to the site, it didn't close, instead it asked me to install the java plugin and after that it's working properly now.
