    [32] Wmp & UAC

Hi, I'm having trouble with WMP. It won't automatically add music to the library. Nor when I search the folders manually. It will add the songs if I play them one by one. But I have to many Cd's ripped to do that without pulling my hair out. WMP seems to think there are no songs in the music folder. Or it just doesn't like my taste in my music Anyone got an idea? For the life of me I can't figure out whats the problem. I've tried so many different settings with no luck. Also when something automatically prompts UAC dialog (usually a setup program), 95 percent of the time my computer will lock up then I'll have to hit ctr-alt-del to get control again.

In WMP, go to Tools>Options, then in the Library tab, click "Monitor folders" and make sure that the location of your music files is there.

Well I fixed WMP, Open the run dialog and type

    %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player

It will open a folder, delete the file CurrentDatabase_360. Open WMP, and it will rebuild its library database. Also I think my problem with UAC locking up, was due to the Nvidia drivers. Uninstalled them and haven't had it happen yet, and I've been trying to make it do it, where before I could lock up my pc without trying.
