Copy Text From Document Into Footer.
.I have the need to create a template that would replicate two cells (or text) in the footer.
The text is a job name and a quote number that are within the cells on a table. I can link the data or the cells, don't care which.
The objective is to get the text to appear the same in both places and only have to type it once..
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

No dice, bump
I need to take a bookmark or field results from a TEMPLATE and copy them to the footer. I tried hyperlinking, but the link is hardcoded to the original template which is no good..
Thanks, Pat

Excel
I'm assuming you are talking about excel.
You cant link to a cell from the header or footer in excel
You could set up your spread sheet margins so that cells at the top would be in the header area and link those cells as you wish.
You cant do it in word either.
You can add the file name as a field in the header of footer of both excell and word.
Name your files with the info and it will be in the footer or header.
I know its not what you want to do.
Click on the attachment for a laugh.

Might have to use VBA for this.
