"sfc /scannow" with Vista
I tried the "sfc /scannow" with Vista, but did not go anywhere
Does MS omit this feature in Vista?
If it is the case, how one can fix missing and corrupted files?

Yes, it is gone from Vista. In theory Vista silently replaces corrupt system files, AFAIK, and so shouldn't need SFC. Only time will tell on that one.

Well, I stand corrected. Apparently it is still there, despite having read that it had been removed. It looks like there is a lot to learn about what's been left in, removed or changed.
