front panel wiring - Enlight EN-7230 case
Enlight EN-7230 case w/front panel wiring harness (came with the case).
I need replacement wiring harness to connect on/off switch, reset switch, power LED, hdd LED, and speaker to the front panel connector on the motheboard. Enlight website email I sent was return as not deliverable.
Note: the reason I would like replacement is because the "spade-like" connectors do not connnect tightly to the pins on the front panel connector block on the mobo. There is 'travel' of the loose metal inside the connectors when the wiring is slighly pulled. This has caused difficulty in starting the PC.
Could anyone give me an idea as to where I can get a replacement front panel wiring harness for the Enlight 7230 case? The LEDs are embedded in plastic retainers that clip into holes into the case frame.
The ones I've seen on other machines are unique to the particular front panel of the case. Are there univeral wiring harnesses available somewhere?
Thanks,
j

Hi janusz,
I have never seen these wires being sold anywhere, probably just a subsupply to an OEM or they make their own.
What I would suggest is to find an old case (local, small computer store) and harvest their wires, then splice those together. Since your Enlight is a very basic case, it should be easier to find something that suits you.
Look for a full tower as their wires are longer.
It's going to be a pain, but unless you have ANY alternative with the current case, it might be the only option.
Cheers
