    Grace Slick was the singer...an amazing voice! The band was actually called Jefferson Airship at that time in the 1960's...changed to 'Airplane" a little later.

    You know that a song is a real classic when it sounds as fresh and 'modern' today as it was when it was first recorded.

    Now, of course I'm not prejudiced in any way... ...but I think that the 60's and early 70's produced more 'classic' songs than any other period...not only in this country but also, and especially so...in England...
