Resolved [RESOLVED] Email Harvesting - Nice Try

Got this email at home yesterday
    From: Jordan [mailto:[email protected]]

    Subject: [iiSpam] Your email address

    Hi nixhomeemailaddress

Your email address was contained in one of the recent chain mails we received, as your address was in one of these chain mails we thought you might have more that you would be willing to send to us. We are setting up a new website (www.chain-mail.net) that will detail all the different types of mail that gets forwarded around the internet and how many people they actually reach, so please help us by sending us all the chain mail you have, anything that has been forwarded, absolutely anything even the rude ones.

We really would be grateful if you and your friends could help us get this site up and running so please forward this email on to as many friends as you can and send us all the chain mail you have yourself and keep them coming. Everyone that helps will get a free login to the site when it is up and running.

The types of forwards we are after, absolutely anything will do really so long as it has been forwarded.

Please send all forwards to the following address: [email protected]

    Funnies
    Jokes
    Office gossip/tickle tackle
    Pictures
    Video clips
    Messages
    Information/Communication forwards

    Thanks for your help.

    Jordan

I'm tempted to just send them all the junk mail sans other peoples addresses but I really can't be bothered.

Maybe just bombard them with a few hundred emails with 5Mb attachments just to fill their in box.

Of course it could be legit......yeah right.

Edited to deactivate links (sorry Nix!) -Lgbpop

Yeah that's what I meant by "unusual addy". Surely that would have thrown them off track.
Amazing how our addresses can and do get harvested. Hope they cause you no troubles or grief.
